Do you ever wonder where did Valentine's Day came from? Valentine's Day has its root in ancient Roman and Christian traditions. According to legend, Saint Valentine was a christian who lived in Rome during the 3rd century AD. Emperor Claudius II had outlawed marriage for young men, believing that single men were made better soldiers. Saint Valentine defied the emperor and continued to perform marriages in secret. When the Emperor discovered this, he had  Saint Valentine arrested and executed on February 14th. So this legend is believed to be the reason why we celebrate Valentine's Day. But moving on, there are plenty of ways to celebrate it.

One is gift-giving, many exchange gifts with their love ones. They exchange gifts such as beautiful flowers, chocolates, jewelries and cards. 

Next, some people go out  with their family, friends, or partners spend the rest of the day doing what they love to do and even going to fancy restaurants or even cozy cafes.

Overall, there are lots of ways you can celebrate Valentine's Day, you can spend it with your families or even friends. You can also give them gifts or handmade letters. In short, Valentine's Day is a fay to celebrate love and affection.
