Make a change

Image
MAKE A CHANGE It's the time of the month, it's environment month. Our world celebrates environment month by doing certain activities like coastal clean up, 3R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) , cleaning our surroundings and properly disposing waste. Protecting and taking care of our environment  are  very important especially us humans, as we are living in it. So people gather and do activities to protect our environment when it's environment month. And I can't miss the chance to do things that can help our environment.  Protecting the environment is a must, so I have done a few things that can make a little change for our environment. One of it is recycling, I recycled plastic bottles so that if we need a flower pot, the plastic bottles can be used.  Next is saving water, even though it's renewable we should still be saving water because water is an essential thing for us living things. On e more is saving electricity, electricity is not renewable you can only use

Time Flies

Time Flies Time flies so fast isn't it ? We were just introducing ourselves before, now we are now quarters in finishing this school year. Yet, we were just struggling and cramming our outputs, now we are starting off a new page. I know that being a Grade-10 student can be really hard sometimes, but it's not only the challenges that we see but also the fun in learning.  Now that I'm currently in this grade, I realized that I should be enjoying my last year of being a junior highschool student. I have learned about many things  to make learning effective, instead of just reviewing when the exam or quiz day is coming, managing our time, socializing and communicating with others, and applying our skills in specific tasks. There are only few but they really mean a lot. I thought that this are only essential in senior high and college but I realize that we should be acquiring it now. However, the most important learnings that I have gained is how to live our lives. We aren'

Superheroes in Real Life

Superheroes in Real Life When we think of school the first thing that comes to our mind is learning. But what is learning if there are no teachers? As they said, school is our second home, and teachers are our second parents. It really is amazing how teachers do a lot of things, not only to education but also to the well-beings of students.  It's the time of the month again. It's National Teacher's Month again. Students are now preparing their gifts, and speeches for their teachers. It really is amazing how can this celebration so cheerful and  bright. Being a teacher is sometimes really tiring but at the end of the day you can still see them teaching tirelessly in their classes. And it's truly amazing how they manage to make their classes happy and make them enjoy the lessons.  We can really see their passion for teaching. Sometimes I even wonder what's keeping the flame inside them burning, and I have found the reason. Teachers love seeing students learning, have

The Other Side of Disasters

THE OTHER SIDE OF   DISASTERS Have you ever wondered how Filipinos can be so resilient? Where did this resilience thing came from? Can we get this by experiences? Or is it really natural for us Filipinos? These are some of the questions that has been lingering in my mind. We, Filipinos are known for our resiliency, not only in some places but all over the world. Despite of how traumatic or big that disaster or problem gets we still managed to have smiles on our faces. But, can this really help us in facing and solving disaster or problems?           One of the problems wherein we are always facing in our country is typhoon. As we can all see, the Philippines is stated beside the pacific ocean, wherein typhoons are formed. But we have this protective wall or barrier that makes typhoons less stronger,  which is the Sierra Madre. But despite this, we're still experiencing heavy rains, strong winds, flash floods, and even landslides. But again, I'm flabbergasted that we've over

A Letter for Our President

Image
Ilocos Sur National High School Brgy. VII, Gomez St. Vigan City August 29, 2024 Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. President of the Philippines MalacaƱang Palace Sir: Greetings, Mr. President! I hope this letter finds you well.  I have observed that our country now is facing many problems including the feud about the West Philippine Sea, Inflation, Our Vice President and especially our education system. So I have thought that I would suggest things and ideas for our education system.  Recently, our DEPED Secretary resigned from her position after implementing The Matatag Curriculum. Every one thought that this will help the current status of our country but it was the opposite. But despite this, they found a way to continue this curriculum. So based from what I observed, I suggest that it's better to keep this curriculum rather than replacing it with a new one. We, students, will have difficulties adjusting and adapting to a new curriculum and even the teachers. We should be sticking

What Best Describes Me ?

Image
What Best Describes Me In the province of Ilocos Sur, there was an ordinary girl who was born and that's me. My name is Azaree Pajas, currently 15 years old and I live in Paratong, Vigan City. My parents call me Yvonne or just Von. I am currently studying at Ilocos Sur National High School in the special mathematics program or SMC. My hobbies are playing guitar, ukulele, and doing sports specifically taekwondo .  If I would have a chance to describe myself, I would describe me as a colorful person. Some people say that I have a colorful personality but some people disagree. Sometimes they describe me as a horrible and a shy person which I don't know why. Having a colorful personality affect the people around me, It might be inspiring them or maybe motivating them do the things that they love. But sometimes they take advantage of me and use me to do things. But even though there are people who keep on using me or even ruining my reputation, I always keep a positive outlook in li
